I am a Swap Swap Gal and I received my June swap package!

It was so much fun to have a secret swap and I was thrilled to see that the package was from Katrina. She's a super talented seamstress...and she sent me the most AMAZING tote!!

My favorite colors are blue, green, pink, and brown and this purse had all those colors.

This bag is big enough to be a tote or a project bag. I love big purses...they're my weakness. A purse can never be too big. She also sent two skeins of Caron Simply Soft.

Thank you so so much Katrina! I absolutely love it!!

edited to add: I've been trying to upload the pics I took to blogger, but it keeps telling me it can't upload due to an internal error. You can see pics of the bag at Katrina's blog until I get my pictures loaded.

July Sign Up Swap

For our July swap it will be called. "Christmas In July"

So how this works is that for those that like to sign up leave a comment saying you is in for this swap. But, you also have to email me at mom2girls11681@aol.com with your wish list.

Your wish list most only contain 10 items. That doesn't mean that your swap partner have to get all of your items but, it most only contain 10 items.

Also the rules to making this wish list is that it most be MADE items only sewn, crochet or knit. Mainly all the hobbies that our ladies in our swap can do.

But, the rule can be brokem a little it can be recycle, or things you don't want that can also be used as a swap. But, NOT BROUGHT by YOU.

So if you have some yarn or fabric that was given to you that you would like to give then that is likely can be used as a gift. You have a book or pattern that your swap partner has on her wish list that you didn't buy then that can be also used.

But, as you is doing your wish list think realistic to the time length that everyone is given to do these swaps.

So that is the rules.

Make your 10 item wish list and email it to me mom2girls11681@aol.com title your email Swap Swap Gals. So I know that it's not spam.

Everyone have until the 6th to sign up. On the 6th I will list everyones wish list and include who everyone will be assigned to for our Christmas in July swap.

Everyone that signed up for our Secret Swap for June all swaps must be mail off by Tuesday the 1st. Whenever get there swaps please take the time out and post on Swap Swap Gals pics of your swap gifts.

Now it's June time for our new swap. Since we didn't have one for May we will take what won the votes for May theme and that was Favorite Colors

So that will be our June swap "Favorite Colors"

Hi sorry I’m late. If Laura wouldn’t of sent so much I wouldn’t of had to take so many pictures. Thank you for the wonderful package. I hope she took pictures because mine didn’t turn out so great. I would of taken them outside but didn’t feel like showing off my jammies to the neighbors. My kids are always dressed and ready but me, that is a whole other story. lol So she sent me some great bags in all my favorite colors. I have a great big bag, a clutch, two small zipper purses, a bag with tons of small pockets in it, a knitting book, some circular knitting needles, and some wool ease yarn. Whew that was a mouthful! I think I got it all. More pics on my blog.

I got Lesa's swap package! This dragonfly purse is the absolute perfect size and I love the fabric. The handle is really nice, too.
I love the diamond shape on this purse with the glitter accent. I also like how the inside of the handles match the lining.
I love the feel of this jewel-toned clutch. So pretty!
Here's everything together:

You can see that I also got a matching pen and memo pad set. The memo pads are flower shaped and I love the print pattern on them. Also, I got a yummy smelling strawberry candle and a baby blue skein of yarn.

Thanks Lesa for all the stuff! I am so impressed with your sewing ability! I was so excited to read that you were my sender this time around. I've been enjoying your blog for a while and it's fun to not only own something made from you, but to have three purses made especially for me. I feel really lucky to have you as a swap sender!

Okay, I got my swap Tuesday. I'm sure everyone knows how excited you feel when a 'Swap Swap Gals' package comes. Well, I was so excited..... I love everything....

Ashley made me this wonderful purse. See!!!!

It is really nice and very roomy inside. It's even lined and has a zipper.

She also got me a Woman's Day magazine, some fabric and ribbon. Both pink, which she thought my daughter would like. She will indeed because her favorite color is pink. Though as she told me a few weeks ago 'You can't wear pink all the time because it gets boring'!!!

Here are some treasure bags she made for each one of my kids. Each had a special treat inside. Mini M&M's!!!! The pouches are so cute. They are going to love putting little things in them after the candy is gone. They still haven't seen them so I'll update this post later when they do and possibly with a picture of them with it.

Also, thanks for the Twix and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups... No picture because I ate them already! They were right on time because I've been on this candybar fix for a while so this definitely helped!!!!

I am a Swap Swap Gal and I received my purse from Caroline!
Its an awesome swap package! Me encanta!!!

She sent me a large fat bottom bag in one of my favorite colors - pink! Its a cool coincidence because my maiden name means "pink" in Spanish! The size rocks because as anyone who's ever seen me carry a purse knows the bigger the better!

She also sent a change purse (Pi keeps eyeing it) and the cutest little bird.
Check out the lining...pink camoflouge! With pockets! I can't sew a lick, so the pockets really impressed me!

Here's the flower with a brooch in the middle. I love purse bling.

Speaking of purse bling, Caroline also attached a cute heart keychain (Pi is also eyeing that).

Look at the darling purse sent to me by my Swap buddy....Bennance aka Nancy. I quickly stuffed it today with wallet, sunglasses, lipstick, compact, and what nots and carried it to school. It feels great and is even more comfy to carry. Thank you!!!

Here is the rest of my very thoughtful swap package. A LA book on pattrns, chocolates for the kids and me. (I hid the dark chocolate kisses, they're all mine!!!LOL) Stickers for my boys, who were amazed too that I received a package from someone I didn't know. Best of all 4 skeins of yarn. I've already started something with it.

I got my package today! It was so much fun. Katrina made me this awesome purse with a beautiful coffee print. I happen to be wearing brown pants and a white shirt, and it matches my outfit, so I'm really excited to wear it today! I also love the notebook holder, with slots for tons of pens. Today is our purse theme deadline last day that everyone can send off there gifts to there swap partner.

Also time to sign up for our May swap. Remember this swap will be secert swap so you can contact the person you is sending your gift to the ask questions. Read there blog and try to get as much from there. Contact me for there address when time is needed. Also try your best to not give it away in your blogs. Your swap partner wont know who there partner is until they get there package.

For the swap Lesa sent me, a wall pillow, a really cool letter C, a bear with a heart, 2 heart soaps, 2 heart cookie cutters, a heart tin with lotion (it smells great!), a heart bucket with chocolate heart candy (Yum!), pretty ribbon and tulle, and a really nice card.

Thanks so much Lesa! It really perked up my day!

Lesa also sent my Pay It Forward gift! I'm probably not required to post it here since its not the swap, but its so pretty, I needed to show you guys.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Laurah....... Such a pleasant surprise when my doorbell rang and I received your package. So much stuff!!! I was pulling everything out and ooohing and ahhhing and pulling out more stuff. Then I went back and picked everything up again and found other goodies...... ribbon inside of the purse, crochet heart (I'm guessing it can be used for a bookmark) inside the coin purse.

Everything was so thoughtful. I know the hat was for my baby due but my 15 month old was sitting next to me so I tried it on him really quick. He was grinning ear to ear... I think because I was smiling and saying cute over and over. I really love it!! The magazine has organizing tips and recipes... right up my alley!!! Cute, cute ribbon and elephant. A book I'll read to the kids... I was just thinking the other day that I was going to start reading longer books to them where we could pick up each day and continue to read a little at a time. My daughter loves guessing what happens next and waiting to hear the next day.

And I really appreciate the beads for my daugther. She loves arts and crafts just as much as I do. (Even though she used to say arts and craps!!!! LOL) She wasn't home when I opened it but she found it immediately when she got home and was trying to claim everything! I gave her the beads and she was delighted. I tried to explain to her where it came from and she said, 'She's so nice because she gave us stuff.' I don't have a picture of it because she already has them in her room!

And I got my package!! Christina you are so kind! Here's pics of what I got, sorry they're so awful (cell phone camera).

The first pic is a gorgeous shawl with hearts in it, and a scarf of hearts. Also in the package was the CYOOTEST ami fairy, a pose-able heart-covered guy I've named Gus, a little beating heart (has a string to pull and vibrates), a cookie, a heart shaped box that I'm going to decorate soon, a cute bucket tin, and some candles.

I also sent out my package today so hopefully it will arrive at its new home soon!

Ok want to do a quick update for this month. Our first month swap is going smooth hoping next month will be great also.

I have changed a bit of little guidelines.

1) I will list a new voting for theme on the 20th of every month so please try to get your votes in before the 1st
2) I still will list the new theme swap on the 1st
3) I will give everyone until the 5th to leave a comment saying they is in on that swap. (EDIT THIS) Thanks Zarah: Ok we will do chain swapping instead of partner swapping. How this work is that you wont get a gift from the person you sending a gift to. Example Ashley send to Dawn, Dawn send to Zarah, Zarah send to Sabrina and the last one listed will send to Ashley. Etc.:) Hope everyone is ok with that still I will try to not have you all sending or receieving from the same person over and over so bare with me.
4) I will list everyones swap partner/chained up on the 6th
5) When you send off your partners gift leave a new post saying who you are and who your partner is and that they swap gift is on it's way
6) I still ask that everyone take pics of your swap gifts and post it to Swap Swap Gals blog saying who you receive it from this is to help me know if everyone receieve there gifts
7) I ask that if you know you can't do that swap for that month then don't sign up. I only give everyone 2 warns that means if you sign up one time and don't send a gift then sign up again and do the same you wont no longer be able to be a swap swap gal
8) I still go for this rule you need a blog so if your blog was moved please let me know so I can link it to swap swap gals blog no blog no swapping
9) Try go get your gifts off by the end of the month if it is going to be sent the following month please let your partner know it's still coming, On your package try to include (SSG or Swap Swap Gals) it's to help your swap partner know what swap it is incase they are in more then one swap.
10)I want to start doing the best gifts votes so after everyone received there gifts I will list a voting poll for best gifts sent and everyone get to vote on the best gifts sent I then will list the winner to the best gift sent 5 days after the voting start

Ok there you have it a quick update. I will have a link to this posted at the top of our blog. On our side bars I will list all of those that receieved there gifts for that month. I will also list the swap partners set up for that month.

I am a Swap Swap Gal

Good evening ladies.Just thought i would stop by and introduce myself.My name is Dawn or Danucia as my Fiance refers to me.As this is my name in polish.He is First generation born here in the states and speaks Polish fluently.We have been together for 3 and a half years now.He has been teaching me to speak Polish also.I must say it's not easy! Anyways,I am Disabled and for the most part am not only home bound.so i wanted to not only find something creative to do with my time , but i also wanted to "give back" to others.So when i found out my 18yr old son (my only child) could crochet i asked him to teach me.He only knows the very basics as he was only learning him self , but i was impressed that he even was willing to learn being a man.

well he taught me the starting chain and i have been self teaching myself ever since.As i said i decided i wanted to find a way to give back to others so i found crochetville.org first then after reading several posts and meeting people on there i learned about several charity groups that i now crochet for.I mainly crochet baby afghans and blankets , but i am slowly learning to make other things too.

I enjoy my new love ... crochet very much and i hope to not only learn more from you ladies ,but i also hope that by participating in these swaps i will make new friends and make some one else happy with the things i may make to swap.

I am a Swap Swap Gal who just received my kitchen swap from Caroline today.........this cow is just adorable and Aiden has already taken possession of it......so he thinks anyway!! I will hang this up before he loses it, or stashes it away somewhere that takes me about a week to find.........LOL Anyway thanks so much, Caroline. I have your stuff ready and will mail this weekend hopefully, I just need to get a box......Wal-Mart is out of the sizes I need......I hate that.......LOL

I am a Swap Swap Gal and I just got my package yesterday. I hope I am doing this right. I will also post on my blog but here it is. I want to say first off Thanks Lesa! Lets see what I got, dishcloths and a bag. (Way cool) I got a fake fruit basket, some candles and candle holders, muffin mix, a cookie recipe book, some recipe card paper, and some way cute plates, and mugs. Unfortunetly the plates and glasses broke but oh well. I want to say Thanks Lesa for the swap package and that I am still working on yours . I hope to send out your package by next week. How To Join Swap Swap Gals

Email me (Lesa) at mom2girls11681@aol.com (Please title your email as SWAP SWAP GALS)

With your name, name you go by on your blog, mail address, email address that you will use for the swaps, and your blog/ url, you have to have a blog in order to join. Sorry that is the rule.

Also you have to be a regular blogger what I mean by that meaning at least blog a couple times a month. You don't have to have a blog on blogspot to join you can have any blog to join.

Tell me a bit about yourself your hobbies and things like that.

When you is accepted I will send you a invite to join and list you on Swap Swap Gals blog. I will post a link back to your blog with your wishlist and blog to the side bar.

Swap Swap Gals RULES:

Swap Swap Gals, swaps will be listed by themes every month. I will list them at the top of the blog. We will take votes on the 20th every month on what the swap should be for the next month. Always try to check back to see what the voting is for the following month.
I will list a new swap theme on the blog on the 1st of every month. When you see the list for that month theme you will respond in the comment saying you is in for that swap for that month. Everyone have until the 5th to sign up for the swap for that month on the 6th I will list who everyone is partner up with. Then you will check out your swap partners wish list and contact your partner if you need information from her. I have everyones address so if you need that information please contact me by email only.

You must send your package way before the end of the month before the next swap is listed.

You can email your swap partner letting her know you sent off her package or you can post it on our blog.

When you receive your swap gift you should post a picture of your things saying you received your swap gift for that month and who was your swap partner.

When you sign up for a swap for that month you must send your gift please do so other words you will not be able to sign up for the next swap until the following month. But, you still is hold reliable for sending that gift to your swap partner.

If you sign up and don't sent a package more then 2 times you will no later be able to be on Swap Swap Gals blog and you will be banned.

These rules are for all swappers so be sure to read the rules and obey the rules. This is for fun girls have fun with it.

Everyone have life problems so if you signed up for a swap and wont be able to send it as you plan please contact your swap partner and host that's me Lesa saying why and when you is able to send it.
